Dorsal View of Antorbital Notch

The antorbital region is composed of four bones: the maxillary, frontal, lacrimal, and jugal. The antorbital notches are positioned between the antorbital tubercles laterally and the maxillary crests mesially. The notches vary in depth and angle among beaked whale species.
