Stranding Distribution
Occurs in the North Pacific Ocean and adjacent seas, north of about 35oN. Distribution appears to be continuous, ranging from the Sea of Japan, Okhotsk Sea, Bering Sea, along the Alaskan, Canadian, and western United States coast, to the Sea of Cortez off Mexico.
