Research Interests

My research focuses on elucidating patterns of speciation, evolution and distribution of marine fishes. I am particularly interested in the diverse drivers of morphological specializations and behavioural adaptations in nearshore cryptic fishes. At present, using mudskippers as model organisms, I aim to understand the evolution of terrestriality in this group of fishes.
